How it works

From source files to finished batch

01

Choose your source images

Select images to open png compressor in the studio. The matching workflow and preset are selected automatically; you can still change them before export.

02

Review the preset

Start with 256 colors for icons and screenshots. Try all-colors lossless for artwork whose colors must not change, or 64–128 colors when a simpler palette is acceptable.

03

Process and save copies

Preview the selected image, then process the whole batch. Compare the real dimensions and encoded size before saving individual results or one ZIP. Your originals are not overwritten.

Common uses

Built for everyday image work

A focused compress workflow

Compress PNG images with lossless re-encoding or a smaller color palette. Keep PNG output and compare actual file sizes before downloading.

One image or a whole folder

Use the same settings across up to 50 files. Check unusual compositions or mixed-resolution images before processing the batch.

Combine with other edits

Add resize, crop, rotate, color, watermark, or compression steps in the studio. The workflow runs in the displayed order and shares one final output format.

Worth knowing

Keep the output predictable

Choosing the right settings

Start with 256 colors for icons and screenshots. Try all-colors lossless for artwork whose colors must not change, or 64–128 colors when a simpler palette is acceptable.

Format and quality limits

Palette compression can introduce banding in gradients. Lossless may produce a larger file; keep-smaller mode can retain the original when dimensions are unchanged.

Local processing and source limits

Files stay in browser memory. Each source can be up to 40 MB, within the 16,384-pixel edge and 80-megapixel canvas limits. HEIC uses the first contained image; AVIF requires browser decoding. Export is JPEG, PNG, or WebP, not HEIC or AVIF.
